I was certified in 2011 by 'The Fowler Wainwright International Institute of Professional Coaching'. It was a  unique program that combined traditional coaching methods with a more wholistic approach to support the individual.
 

What is a Life Coach?

  • A life coach helps guide clients to reach their ultimate goals. 
  • A life coach can help individuals in different areas of their life. But because each human being is different, so will their goals. 


Coaches are motivators. They are  objective in their guidance, yet passionate to  see their clients succeed 

Life Coaching vs. Therapy

 Life coaches identify and describe current problematic behaviors so the client can work to modify them. Therapists analyze their client's past as a tool for understanding present behaviors. In other words, therapists focus on “why” certain behavioral patterns occur, and coaches work on “how” to work toward a goal. 

Creating a Vision and a Plan

 A life coach is someone who can clarify where your life is right now while supporting you in creating a vision of where you want it to go and a plan to get there. Throughout the process, a personal life coach will not only guide you, but they will provide you with the support you need throughout this journey.

The coach’s role in the process is to use various tools and techniques intended to help the client identify their goals, recognize obstacles, and draw from their motivations in order to work toward making those goals a reality.

As a small Business owner for over 35 years I have a close relationship with developing and running a small business as my livelihood. This level of coaching is based on the curriculum I developed to combine practical business considerations with more individual goals, intentions and objectives.

Inspiration...

 I became interested in the practice of Life Coaching as I was developing my Feng Shui Psychotherapy workbook and therapeutic practice as a Vermont rostered Psychotherapist.

At that time, It was clear to me that there was much to be gained from developing a Therapy practice that was based on structure and progression. My idea was that instead of continuously focusing on topics or situations that have taken place in the past it was necessary to begin to focus on moving forward to creating a healthier and more personally rewarding future. 


I assist my clients to…

  • Develop strategies to overcome roadblocks  
  • Identify and eliminate limiting beliefs 
  • Be accountable to their dreams 
  • Step outside of their comfort zones to  achieve their goals.

Fear and Self - Doubt

During a transition period you may experience some of the fear or self-doubt that is often accompanied by it. Life Coaching is the process of assisting people to improve the quality of their lives. It provides a partnership without any agenda other than the clients. Life Coaching is a practice with the intention of helping clients determine and achieve personal goals.
