Life is fragile; a fleeting moment in a greater Mystery.
Be gentle

Break Through
Full grown Mighty Oak Trees can live 1000 years but initially they are quite fragile
Oak seedlings when they first sprout are surprisingly delicate, relying on the acorn's stored food for initial growth, but they quickly develop a sensitive taproot that needs careful handling; they are weak against physical damage, animals (deer/rabbits), and harsh weather. Even though they can grow 6-12 inches tall in the first year and establish deep roots before true above-ground growth takes off The first root (taproot) is crucial but very fragile; breaking it can kill the seedling.

The positive potential of Vervain is to unwind and accept others views with wisdom and tolerance not feeling the need to impose your views on others.
It encourages the wisdom to enjoy life and the passage of time instead of always feeling the need to be active.
Vervain type people are perfectionists with a keen sense of justice.
They are blessed with extreme mental energy that they willingly throw into the causes they believe in.
The Vervain enthusiasm can be infectious, and they feel a strong need to persuade others to their own point of view.
But at an extreme, they are in danger of becoming fanatics, unable to listen to alternative points of view, and they may put themselves under a great deal of stress because they find it so hard to switch off and relax.
When we are in this state the remedy helps us regain our balance so that body and mind and be restored.

Dec 4 2025 Begins the energy of the week ahead
The amplified energy of this supermoon and its rare alignment with the "Seven Sisters" enhances emotional clarity, intuition, and spiritual insight. Observers often view this as a potent time for reflection and new beginnings.
The final full supermoon of the year appears in the sky near the Pleiades star cluster, also known as the "Seven Sisters". For some regions, the Moon will pass directly in front of the cluster in a rare event known as a lunar occultation.
The astronomical event is the full moon which is the final and a supermoon of the year, also known as the Cold Moon due to its proximity to the winter solstice. The "Faery Portal" refers to spiritual beliefs, that associate full moons with mystical portals or times of heightened magic.
In this context, the full moon is seen as a time of increased connection to the spiritual or fae realm, a time for intention-setting, and for focusing on powerful magic and manifestation.
The Pleiades: This beautiful, young, blue star cluster is located about 444 light-years away. While the name "Seven Sisters" suggests only seven stars, the cluster contains over a thousand stars, with about six or seven typically visible to the unaided eye. Through binoculars, many more stars can be seen, creating a spectacular contrast of the Moon's golden light and the stars' blue glow.
The Pleiades cluster holds significant cultural and mythological importance across the globe.

In metaphysical traditions, the cluster is linked to spiritual awakening, intuitive guidance, and healing emotional wounds.
Ancient and Indigenous traditions
Cherokee: The stars are viewed as the home of the ancestors, and their souls are believed to originate from this cluster before returning there after death.

'Belonging'
Resilience and Adaptability - Sparrows are known for their adaptability and resilience. Despite their small size, they have thrived in diverse habitats, from urban landscapes to rural areas. Their ability to find food, build nests, and create communities in the most unlikely places serves as a reminder of the strength that can be found in the face of adversity. The sparrow's symbolism thus encourages us to be adaptable, resilient and to embrace change with a positive spirit.
Joy and Simplicity - Sparrows are cheerful and energetic, often observed chirping and hopping about in playful groups. They remind us to find joy in life's simple things and appreciate the present moment. In a world that can sometimes be overwhelming and complex, sparrows teach us the value of simplicity and the power of a lighthearted approach.
Community and Social Connection -Sparrows are highly social birds, frequently forming flocks and engaging in communal activities. They build their nests close to one another, emphasizing the importance of community and social connections. The symbolism of sparrows encourages us to value our relationships, foster a sense of belonging, and rely on the support of our communities. They remind us that we can achieve more together than we can alone.
Be Like Sparrows
As we observe sparrows fluttering about, let us be inspired by their symbolic messages and strive to incorporate these qualities into our lives.

'Tolerance, Understanding, and Compassion'
Beech heralds a time of stepping into our true power as a person of peace and integrity. We are being asked to speak our truth and to use our power wisely.
What we have learned and experienced is coming together and being transformed into wisdom.
Known as "Queen of the Forest" or "Mother of the Woods", the tree's longevity can symbolize endurance and renewal.
Beech forests are mystical and magical places with columns of silvery smooth bark topped by expansive canopies. The light that shines through is tinted green by its leaves.
Beech flower essence in the Bach flower remedies system is intended for individuals who are critical, judgmental, and easily irritated by the differences or imperfections of others.
Intended Emotional Benefits

'Ancient Medicine'
"Roots, Leaves and Flowers - This gentle healing plant offers comfort and relief from pain and suffering in every expression of itself.
What do you need relief from?"
Mullein's spiritual properties include protection, courage, healing, and connection to the spirit world. It is historically associated with warding off evil spirits, and in modern spiritual practices, it is used fo smoke cleansing, and dream work.
I often find myself enchanted by the local plants that grow wild around me here in Southern Vermont. Some people might dismiss these as just weeds, but I like to think of them as nature’s treasures, each with its own gifts and unique energy.
From the first moment I encountered Mullein's soft, velvety leaves, towering height, and striking yellow flowers, I knew there was something special about it. Over time, Mullein has become more than just a plant to me; it feels like a kindred spirit, a guardian of sorts in yard and in my garden.
From teas and tinctures to poultices, its leaves, flowers, and roots have been crafted into treatments for everything from common colds to arthritis and headaches.

'Beginnings'
'A single arcorn can grow into a Might Oak'
This truth of nature's intelligence is pure magic...
A large oak tree in Vermont can produce up to 10,000 acorns in a "masting" year, which happens every 2-5 years. During other years, a single large oak might produce around 1,600 acorns, but this number can vary depending on the specific tree and conditions.
Acorns: A Fundamental Food of Our Past and Future
Acorns are one of the most important foods of our past in North America, and they are also one of the most underutilized foods in the present day.
Acorns are a complete protein, containing all of the amino acids that our body can’t generate. The presence of these magnificent trees actually determined where cultures of the past would live. Some resources say that as much as
50% of their diet was acorns.
This abundance of nutrient rich nuts is such a rare gift in the world of foods available, that it is almost incomprehensible that our current culture has so blindly cut down so many to grow wheat or corn.
As climate change prevails, and growing conventional food crops becomes increasingly challenging, we are going to be hard pressed to recognize the incredible foods that actually grow around us without intensive labour, chemicals and machinery. Oaks don’t need extra irrigation, fertilizer, cultivation, and they house an entire ecosystem in their branches!

'Letting go/Moving Forward -
Protection from negative outside influences
Whenever you’re going through periods of change, Walnut can help ease the way and provide stability and consistency. Walnut relates specifically to our ability to let go of the past and move forward in new beginnings.
Dr Bach wrote that Walnut is “the remedy for those who have decided to take a great step forward in life, to break old conventions, to leave old limits and restrictions and start on a new way.”
If you’re in the negative state of Walnut, you hesitate to move forward into this new beginning and get diverted by outside influences, or you can’t let go of old ways.
Walnut helps empower you to set yourself free from old habits and move forward positively in a new direction. It can help you:
Walnut acts as a link breaker helping us to release the old and decisively embrace the new.
This might be changes that occur as we move through the various stages of life, or life style changes such as bereavement, divorce,
new house or job.
It can also provide a cloak of protection for those over sensitive to their environment or to the influence of others.

'She will open a portal to the faery realm when you need healing, and will share the wisdom of the medicinal plants, Our greatest teachers!
Grandmother Elderberry apparently would like us to go deeper into her teachings, wisdom, and offerings as this is the second time I pulled this card for the weekly cards - Let's look at the Spiritual benefits and uses of this ancient plant:
Perhaps you need more Protection?
Are there negative energies being directed towards you?
Elderberry has numerous spiritual benefits, primarily associated with protection, healing. It is believed to ward off evil spirits and negative energy, create a spiritual shield, and enhance spiritual connection and intuition. The plant is also linked to transformation, as its hollow stems were used to make flutes, connecting it to music and communication with spirits.
Elderberry can be used to cleanse and purify spaces, objects, and auras, to clear negative energies and restore balance.
Elderberry is considered a powerful aid to enhance intuition and psychic abilities.

Rest & Restore
Owl suggests we allow ourselves to rest and restore that would be in alignment with the season of Fall
This does not mean do nothing
it means:
1. Conserve your energy
don't waste your time or efforts on activities without a clear objective - Simplify
2. Go to bed at a reasonable hour don't stay up as late as you may be tempted to
3. Take time between your busy day to stop and take 3 deep restoring breaths to release tension and stress you may not realize you are holding
4. Spend some relaxing alone time - Take a walk, read a book or just sit quietly by yourself
5. Eat Healthy nourishing food - step back from lots of sugar, or unhealthy high sodium content food - eat whole root foods - carrots, parsnips, potatoes - foods that have grown slowly and underground

Exhaustion/Lack of Motivation
Restore mental clarity, energy and enthusiasm
"For those who feel that they have not sufficient strength, mentally or physically, to carry the burden of life placed upon them; the affairs of everyday seem too much for them to accomplish, though they generally succeed in fulfilling their task. For those who believe that some part, of mind or body, needs to be strengthened before they can easily fulfil their work."
[Bach: Twelve Healers and Other Remedies 1936]
The person in this state feels weary when he looks forward to the demands of the day. It’s easier to stay in bed or put off making a start,
or find other things to do.
The Bach flower remedy Hornbeam is traditionally used to address feelings of mental fatigue, procrastination, and a general lack of motivation
Key benefits of Hornbeam are thought to include:

'Tiny soft seeds disperse on the breath of the wind.
So many possibilities, new beginnings,
which way to go?
Only Spirit and the seed knows!'
"After the completion energy of the Full Moon we can begin to plant new seed of intention"
Last night's (Nov 5) full moon is called the Beaver Moon and it is also the largest and last Supermoon of 2025, meaning it appears bigger and brighter than a typical full moon..
The spiritual meaning is centered on preparation, security, and reflection, reflecting the beavers' industrious nature as they prepare for winter. This full moon, encourages a focus on building stability, nurturing what you have, releasing what is no longer useful, and grounding yourself with your values before the end of the year. It's a time for both practical and spiritual decluttering to prepare for the months ahead.

Break Through
An oak seedling symbolizes potential, strength, and the start of a spiritual journey, representing the idea that great things can grow from small beginnings.
In Celtic tradition Oak trees were seen as a doorway to the spirit world, connecting the earthly and divine realms.
Potential and growth: A seedling embodies the potential for a long, strong life. It is a powerful symbol of the future and the potential for growth, renewal, and transformation.
Strength and resilience: Like the mature oak, the seedling represents strength. Its ability to push through the earth and grow towards the light symbolizes resilience and perseverance in the face of challenges.
New beginnings: It can symbolize a new spiritual journey. The "great oaks from little acorns grow" proverb is often used to parallel spiritual growth, where a person starts as a small creation (like an acorn) and grows into something strong and rooted through their spiritual journey.
Connection to the divine: The oak seedling is rooted in the earth and reaches for the sky,

Purpose
"Spiritually, purpose is a deeper meaning beyond material success, rooted in a connection to something greater than oneself, often involving love, compassion, and a desire to contribute to the world. "
What is your definition of Purpose?
Life without Purpose may lead to a sense of disconnection and isolation; not just physically, but mentally, emotionally and spiritully.
Connecting to Life may allow us to heal from our own chanllenges or difficulties and may provide direction when we are feeling lost.

said with sincerity, deepens our connection with others.
It allows us to take responsibility without blame
"The 'Ho'oponopono' prayer is a Hawaiian practice of reconciliation and forgiveness that involves repeating four key phrases: "I'm sorry," "Please forgive me," "Thank you," and "I love you." It is used for self-healing and clearing negative energy by taking responsibility for one's role in a situation.
